Ryan,

I didn't mention the absolute Darth Vader rip-off because I thought someone might think it was cool and see the film. But you are correct, there are huge sections of the film that copy (badly) Star Wars.

Very well put, sir. We literally had the exact same discussion when some friends and I walked out of that movie. Did anyone else notice a weak attempt at a Star Wars themed movie? The Death Star, the fighter planes (or ships). Hell, even the bad guy wears a mask because of his grossly disfigured face. Anyway, the movie was pure, unmitigated crap. Thanks for the spot-on review

VP,

You make a very good point. Though Wayans stood out to me because of the silly lines he had and the even worse love interest sub-plot. But Tatum was flat, uninvolved, and essentially a monotone portrayal.

Sorry you had to see the film as well. Moviegoers deseve more.

I disagree that Marlon Wayons was one of the worse actors. The leading man, Channing Tatum, left a lot to be desired in delivering his simple lines.

Do a little research. A pasty isn't some dish from Michigan. It's from ENGLAND, and it's a recipe that's been around for centuries.

I know it's not as cutting edge and international as yet another pizza take-and-bake or another Elmers, but I'm frankly delighted to see them set up shop. Hopefully they have pork pies, sausage rolls and a decent toad-in-the-hole too.

Apparently Ridley Scott enjoys working with Russell Crowe; and he likes to make movies that raise international awareness (i'm thinking Blackhawk Down and Kingdom of Heaven)... that at least is a good thing
